Ultrasound therapy is a procedure that affects a given area with mechanical vibrations with a frequency higher than 20,000 Hz. Ultrasound has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and hyperemic effect, reduces muscle tension, increases the extensibility of connective tissue in scars, and accelerates wound healing.

COURSE OF THE TREATMENT
The duration of the procedure is divided into short, medium and long. A procedure lasting from 1 to 3 minutes is a short one, in the mean time the therapy lasts from 4 to 9 minutes. The long duration of the procedure is up to 15 minutes. 10 treatments in one series are recommended for chronic conditions and 6 or less for acute conditions. There should be a 1 or 2-day break between treatments.
